Bagby looking good

Thank you, thank you, thank you Innerloopeders. We just confirmed from our source that the Bagby reconstruction will continue and talks to add a third lane of traffic to Bagby are gone. You all raised your voices and let the city know that you want a walk-able, urban Midtown… and it worked.
While Bagby is being designed to accommodate future growth (and there are still some minor tweaks/problems being worked out behind the scenes)… the threat of having a third lane of traffic to Bagby is gone. We have been told the project is moving forward as designed, and that the tweaks the city is now asking for are minor and should not have a dramatic impact on the project.
Again, thank you all for calling and emailing city officials. You had a direct impact on this and we’re excited to hear that the city is now sticking to the two-lane plan.

When I lived inside the loop, it broke my heart that every improvement (looking at you HWY59) was centered on letting Sugar Land commuters get to work 5 minutes earlier.
I just gave up on Houston. Now I have a fresh hell to deal with.

Britten comes to the determination that the only way
to move forward is to accept the situation: where this is the
type of problem that would be the first impediment in front of
the character, Awake looks elsewhere for story ideas.
But why do we continue to hate? But every once in a while I do have this sort of cranky thought.

Why is it that we find ourselves in circumstances from which there does not appear to be a way out,
even if we are rational, smart, and skilled in making decisions?
