Events of the Weekend: Dance and Sing

We have two events for you to checkout this weekend. Our first is FREE and is at Miller Outdoor. Tonight at 8:30pm, the Houston Met will be putting on a performance at Miller Outdoor entitled “Sizzling Summer Dance”. Despite the hot name, it’s going to feel pretty nice out tonight… the perfect weather for having some beer and wine on the hill.

Our second event is an expensive one, but definitely recommended. On Saturday and Sunday along Allen Parkway… the Free Press will be holding their annual Summerfest music festival. Big names include Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg, The Avett Brothers, Flaming Lips, Primus, Young the Giant, Two Door Cinema Club, and a ton of other awesome musicians. Additionally, Bennigan’s Twitter and Facebook sites will feature St. Make it a tradition! “Latinos for Obama?” or “women for Obama” or “veterans for Obama” or is this just uncomfortable because it’s based on skin color? There are organizations working on either providing cloth pads or the means for women to make their own.
